I am a Freelance Bookkeeper and Accountant for small to mid-size companies who prefer to outsource their part-time bookkeeping and accounting needs so that they can focus on the growth of their companies.
I have 10+ years of experience working with and reporting out on large-scale corporate and individual financials – in both the Accounting field and in the Investment Banking/Brokerage field. I spent many rewarding years working for GE Capital, Fidelity Investments, Key Bank, financial advisors, and others. I worked my way up through the Investment arena and then stepped sideways into Investment Accounting in order to pick up new skills. I discovered how much I loved the business of Accounting when I took a 9th grade Accounting class. I loved the order, organization, and sometimes complex nature of it. I have a BA in Business Administration – with an emphasis in Finance – from the University of Washington.
I am passionate about financial account reconciliation, and providing my clients with accurate and detailed financial reports for their businesses. I believe that organized and controlled business finances are necessary in the game plan of business growth and strategic decision making. I often see small business owners struggling to carry the weight of their businesses because they didn’t invest the time to care for the proper accounting and management of their finances. This is my job, this is what I do; I’m good at it, and I enjoy it.
My practice is based on the Quickbooks Desktop and Online platforms and I run Payroll on several different accounting platforms.
I am driven, detail-oriented, outgoing, and enjoy challenges in my work. I also enjoy meeting with clients on-site in order to foster business relationships, present business solutions, and to better understand how I can take care of their individual financial service needs. I accomplish most of my work for my clients remotely.
In my free time you can find me playing tennis, gardening, being a mother to my three wonderful sons, exploring new places, and planning the West Seattle 5K as its Race Director. I am also an amateur website developer, with this one being one of a few.
